Because the hands of the clock turn a little more slowly on Mustique, there’s enough time in every day both to relax and to pursue your favorite sports.Anyone for tennis? Our Tennis Center is fully equipped with six floodlit courts and a team of pros. The PADI-certified Dive Shop down on the Cotton House Beach is fully equipped with everything you need to scuba dive on the coral gardens, walls, and wrecks that surround the island. Golfers can take a private cessna plane or boat over to nearby Canouan Island, play a round at the Trump International Golf Club, and be back on the island in time for evening cocktails. Horse-back riders can take full advantage of our Equestrian Center, with its 10 horses and 3 ponies and a network of scenic trails.
For exercise, there is a basketball court down at the playing field, a volleyball court at Macaroni Beach, a 2.2-mile marked fitness trail with 14 different exercise stations, and a full-service fitness center complete with treadmills, weights and cardiovascular equipment.
Following directions in the booklet “A Natural History of Mustique,” hikers can strike off along paths that surround the lagoon and follow the shore. Bird-watchers can set off in search of the Mangrove Cuckoo, the Tropical Kingfisher and 48 other indigenous species. Guided hikes through St. Vincent’s rainforest can be arranged.
