BASIL’S BAR

Basil’s Bar is legendary. For nearly fifty years it has been the cultural heartbeat of Mustique where generations of homeowners, guests,  fisherman and pirates come to let their hair down. Offering laidback beach bar dining overlooking one of the most recognisable spots on island; Britannia Bay, Basil’s welcomes you with open arms for a delicious lunch overlooking the sea, a beer at the bar as the sun sets or a cocktail in between dances at Jump Up.

Jump Up

Jump Up normally takes place on a Wednesday evening at the island’s infamous bar in Britannia Bay. The mood is lively with cocktails flowing and live music from local Vincentian musicians and DJ’s such as DJ Static.

Mustique Blues Festival

Basil’s is the home of The Mustique Blues Festival which takes place on island in the last week of January and the first week of February every year. Basil’s becomes the backdrop to performances from some of the biggest names in Blues; Deanna Bogart, Lenny Bradford, Byron Cage, Murali Coryell, Rick Estrin & the Nightcats, Eliza Neals, Jennlee Shallow, Ian Siegal and Joe Louis Walker.

Each year, the proceeds from the Mustique Blues Festival go to the Basil Charles Educational Foundation, set up by Basil to support those children who need help with their education in St. Vincent.
