Set amongst 13 acres of tropical gardens leading down to Endeavour Bay, the Great Room Bar and Veranda Restaurant lie at the heart of the estate, surrounded by luxurious, garden and sea facing villas, suites and cottages with private verandas and plunge pools.
Originally an old cotton warehouse, the hotel was the first building project to be undertaken on the island. It was designed in 1968 by Oliver Messel, a leading British theatre stage designer, who had developed a reputation for the flamboyant and original houses he had designed on neighbouring Barbados.

The Cotton House has a collection of seventeen luxurious suites and cottages with private verandas and plunge pools, set in the tropical gardens of the estate. Each room is individually furnished with four poster beds draped with billowing white muslin nets, traditional rattan chairs and elegant decor, luxurious bed linen ensures a restful night’s sleep.
With the suites and cottages situated in the hotel’s extensive grounds guests are assured of both privacy and accessibility, with the beach and restaurants just a few minute’s walk away.

Tucked away on its own hilltop, The Residence is the Cotton House’s private two-bedroom suite. Guests have their own large swimming pool, an outdoor shower, seating areas both indoors and outdoors, a pagoda and beautiful views across L’Ansecoy Bay. Both spacious bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, and the master bedroom has a large bath. The perfect place for secluded relaxation.

From barefoot barbecues to formal a la carte dining, there are many different ways to enjoy the island’s natural hospitality.
The long-established Veranda restaurant is the perfect setting for relaxed hospitality where guests can enjoy a leisurely breakfast, and an open bar for drinks and refreshments throughout the day. The evening sees small intimate tables or larger settings for private parties. Inspired by the West Indies, the evening menu has been created to take you on a voyage of classic and contemporary dishes using house rubs and delicately spiced marinades.
Guests can enjoy a cocktail at The Great Room Bar which with its cooling fans, lime-washed woods and West Indian artefacts, elegantly decorated in Messels’ signature style. For those seeking something a little less formal the Beach Café situated on Endeavour Bay is a relaxed restaurant with a Beach Bar for evening sundown cocktails and a dedicated Ice Cream Parlour, serving a range of homemade ice’s and smoothies.
Further afield Basil’s Bar located in Britannia Bay has been hosting an international crowd for over 25 years. Wednesday night is party night with a barbecue buffet and the famous ‘Jump Up’ with live music. Many return in late January for the Mustique Blues Festival.

The island offers many activities, from watersports such as sailing, scuba diving and snorkelling to riding and tennis.
