Spartacus Challenge 2017
The first inaugural Spartacus Challenge was held on Mustique this Christmas with over 70 brave competitors, guests, homeowners and islanders taking on the challenge over the 3.5km course. The island’s deceptively rugged terrain was transformed by resident veteran fitness guru, Nic Welch, who has spent the last few months designing and building the new course with over fourteen different obstacles, such as The Walls, the Indiana Jones and Beat the Drums. Climbing walls, barbed wire crawls and tyre flinging were just some of the gruelling physical challenges endured in very wet, muddy and humid conditions.
Many congratulations to all those who completed the course and to the winning teams and individuals. Race times have been posted below.
It was a hugely successful new island event that is set to become an annual fixture and we look forward to welcoming back participants for Spartacus II in December 2018
