The Mustique Company has been monitoring the spread of the virus very carefully.
Mustique is currently in a short pause while the global travel restrictions are in place, in order to ensure the health and wellbeing of our team, as well as our on island guests. This has been under constant review and we are now working on our re-opening strategy and putting in place sensible social distancing protocols which we hope will keep visitors safe without compromising comfort or enjoyment.
There are currently no reported cases of Covid-19 on Mustique and we very much hope we can keep it that way and offer our visitors a safe haven for them and their families once the global travel restrictions have been lifted.
On March 23rd The Government of St Vincent advised that effective immediately there is a mandatory quarantine for all persons and crew arriving from the United States of America, United Kingdom and Europe – this is in addition to existing entry restrictions from, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, South Korea and/or Macau. Persons will be quarantined for 14 days or prohibited entry irrespective of showing any symptoms of infection. For any exceptional arrivals into Mustique in the short-term, prior clearance must be received from SVG Health officials.
Mustique does not have testing facilities for the Covid-19, furthermore we do not have the staff or adequate location for quarantining any patients if they were confirmed as having Covid-19. In the event of someone having flu like symptoms who are well in other respects they will be required to self-isolate for the sake of the staff, other visitors and the broader community. The Mustique Company has identified 20 bedrooms with individual bathroom facilities should they be needed.
As with before, this advisory will be under constant review and we will let you know as soon as we are ready to welcome you back to Mustique.
The island has its own fleet of 18-seater Twin Otter aircraft that run daily from St Lucia. During peak season (July – August & November – April) additional connecting flights are available from Barbados on a Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
When you arrive in either airport you will be met by our Meet and Greet representative in the arrivals hall holding a sign with your name on it. They will fast-track you through all the formalities and accompany you to the Mustique lounge where you can help yourself to refreshments while waiting for your short hopper to Mustique.
Every effort is made to schedule hopper flights as close to international arrival times as possible. Our goal is to get you to Mustique as quickly as possible, but please be aware that you may have a short wait while we prepare the aircraft, and these times can vary, particularly in peak season.
There are regular services on American Airlines from Miami, Caribbean Airlines from New York and Canada Air from Toronto into Argyle International Airport on St. Vincent. Our own airline, Air Adelphi, currently does not operate any regular connecting flights between Mustique and St. Vincent. However, the short hop from St. Vincent to Mustique can be arranged through one of our partners, either by private charter or by boat. If you are keen to get on island, the flight takes approximately 7 minutes, or if you are happy to start your holiday with a relaxing drink onboard a catamaran, the sail to Mustique takes about an hour. To book a private charter or a boat, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Planes cannot land on Mustique at night because the runway does not have lights. So we recommend that you travel with a small overnight bag, in case your international flight is delayed. If this happens, and we cannot take off from BGI or UVF in time to land on Mustique in daylight, you will need to stay overnight in Barbados or Saint Lucia. Sunset times vary, but as a rule, if your international flight lands after 3.30pm, we cannot guarantee a same day arrival on island.
N.B The Mustique Company will help with logistics as much as we can, but it will not be liable for any additional costs incurred due to the late arrival of international carriers.
If you are booking a villa, the connecting flights for you and your guests will automatically be taken care of. Your villa services representative will just need details of your international arrival and departure flights and passport information.
All passengers travelling to Mustique will be booked on the first available aircraft following their international arrival. Our aircraft are scheduled to meet demand and to reduce waiting times to an absolute minimum.
