Health & Travel Advisory

Travel Advisory – Updated – 23rd March 2020

The below advisory has changed from previous – please see bold text.

The Mustique Company is aware of the potential threat of the Corona Virus – Covid 19 and is monitoring the spread of the virus very carefully.

The Government of St Vincent have advised that effective immediately there is a mandatory quarantine for all persons and crew arriving from the United States of America, United Kingdom and European Union – this is in addition to existing entry restrictions from, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, South Korea and/or Macau. Persons will be quarantined for 14 days or prohibited entry irrespective of showing any symptoms of infection.

Outbound travel will be very affected in the coming days. Please check if new arrangements in place with your international carrier will affect your outbound travel. However it is still possible to transit from Mustique through St Lucia and Barbados. This situation is constantly changing

All international travellers are advised to consult their local health authorities for further advice for re-entering your country of residence.

Mustique will not be accepting new visitors unless in exceptional circumstances so as not to overburden limited island resources.

Mustique does not have testing facilities for the Corona Virus, furthermore we do not have the staff or adequate location for quarantining any patients if they were confirmed as having Covid 19. In the event of someone having flu like symptoms who are well in other respects they will be required to self-isolate for the sake of the staff, other visitors and the broader community. The Mustique Company has identified 20 bedrooms with individual bathroom facilities should they be needed.

Persons who are unwell for other reasons will be treated with the utmost respect and professional care that one would expect from an Island with the reputation of Mustique. We do not have adequate equipment and medicines to treat Covid 19 in persons who develop complications such as pneumonia. We strongly advise those planning to stay who are elderly or have pre-existing conditions to travel back to their country of residence as soon as is practical.

We are currently holding twice daily briefing sessions for all staff and guests to make them aware of the situation and to encourage best practices for the containment and delay of any potential virus threat. We will be monitoring any guidance from the Government of St. Vincent and the Ministry of health.

There are currently no reported cases of Covid 19 on Mustique. Two premises have been placed in voluntary isolation who have presented with flu like symptoms. The doctor is applying extreme caution in these cases in asking people to self isolate.

Getting to Mustique

Fly Mustique

The island has its own fleet of 18-seater Twin Otter aircraft that run daily from St Lucia. During peak season (July – August & November – April) additional connecting flights are available from Barbados on a Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Arrival in St Lucia or Barbados

When you arrive in either airport you will be met by our Meet and Greet representative in the arrivals hall holding a sign with your name on it. They will fast-track you through all the formalities and accompany you to the Mustique lounge where you can help yourself to refreshments while waiting for your short hopper to Mustique.

Every effort is made to schedule hopper flights as close to international arrival times as possible. Our goal is to get you to Mustique as quickly as possible, but please be aware that you may have a short wait while we prepare the aircraft, and these times can vary, particularly in peak season.

Flying to St. Vincent

There are regular services on American Airlines from Miami, Caribbean Airlines from New York and Canada Air from Toronto into Argyle International Airport on St. Vincent. Our own airline, Air Adelphi, currently does not operate any regular connecting flights between Mustique and St. Vincent. However, the short hop from St. Vincent to Mustique can be arranged through one of our partners, either by private charter or by boat. If you are keen to get on island, the flight takes approximately 7 minutes, or if you are happy to start your holiday with a relaxing drink onboard a catamaran, the sail to Mustique takes about an hour. To book a private charter or a boat, please contact

Landing on Mustique

Planes cannot land on Mustique at night because the runway does not have lights. So we recommend that you travel with a small overnight bag, in case your international flight is delayed. If this happens, and we cannot take off from BGI or UVF in time to land on Mustique in daylight, you will need to stay overnight in Barbados or Saint Lucia. Sunset times vary, but as a rule, if your international flight lands after 3.30pm, we cannot guarantee a same day arrival on island.

N.B The Mustique Company will help with logistics as much as we can, but it will not be liable for any additional costs incurred due to the late arrival of international carriers.

Fly Mustique Reservations

If you are booking a villa, the connecting flights for you and your guests will automatically be taken care of. Your villa services representative will just need details of your international arrival and departure flights and passport information.

All passengers travelling to Mustique will be booked on the first available aircraft following their international arrival. Our aircraft are scheduled to meet demand and to reduce waiting times to an absolute minimum.
